GOALS OF THE WORKSHOP

I will talk about the different steps I use to build up my style, and how to become a better photographer. I will share my creative processes, step by step to show how to see the extraordinary in the ordinary.

MY VISION

I am a lover of arts & visual arts: documentary and fine art photography, classic paintings, cinematography, literature. All those combined with my photojournalism and cinematography background allow me to produce fine art documentary wedding photography. My obsession is to provide my clients with the most beautiful and meaningful pictures of their wedding day and to go deep into the emotional part to capture all these meaningful, tiny details of the relationships. I am dedicated to tell my clients stories. I want to provide them with a striking visual legacy for their family history.

Wednesday, June 16 :

Morning: personal story and my philosophy /my why. My inspirations / how to get inspired

Lunch break : 2-3.30pm

Afternoon:

Practice: Use of flash, analysis and comparison of the different light modifiers. Which one to use and why. Creative process: Analysis of different scenes and application of technique.

Tuesday, June 17:

Morning :

Personal projects
Creative processes : use of natural light, flashes in a documentary approach / how to start seeing in a new perspective the ordinary of most of the weddings

Lunch break : 2-3.30pm

Afternoon:

Creative processes: key concepts for a documentary approach / how to face difficult situations/storytelling mindset to document moments in a creative way
Technique: Sound capture. Delivery: slide show, gallery, and album sales techniques

·The workshop will take place in Rotterdam. (specific location will be determined before the ws). Please if you need any local advise contact info@marnixdestigter.nl

·The workshop will be in English. for a small group (less than 6 attendees), which will make it really personalized and more intense :) !
