Anitha and Abel had been best of friends for 13 years. Anitha lived in New York and Abel lived in Miami, Florida. A year before Hurricane Maria came, Abel confessed his undying love for Anitha. But the situation was just too complicated for Anitha and she turned him down. This caused the friendship to grow a bit distant.

As Hurricane Maria hit Miami, there was another storm brewing inside our bride Anitha. It was because of this terrible disaster, Anitha woke up and realized how much she loved Abel and the thought of losing him was just as devastating...

Anitha was sobbing on the train in the middle of New York as she became completely overwhelmed with love for Abel. She tried to reach him on his cellphone to make sure that he was safe, but to no avail. Abel wasn’t answering as he was preserving the battery on his phone. He had also preserved all that love he still felt for Anitha and they started dating.

After Anitha moved to Miami to be with Abel, they started to plan their engagement and wedding ceremony in Jamaica. Divine intervention struck again and the wedding moved to Miami.

But before the wedding started, they decided to make an engagement session in one of Anitha’s favorite place Bonnet House. A small, private moment just for the two of them, and it helped us to meet them deeper, and got immerse in their love, I remember my skin was shivering while listening to their story. Franck Boutonnet and I where delighted with Anitha and Abel, and still today we feel we could all be friends and have dinner and wine together, we just hope they can travel back to Europe sometime or we can go back to the States and see them again :)

After the engagement session, Anitha had traditional henna body paint tattooed on her hands, arms, and feet as part of the Indian wedding traditions. While her family started arriving to see her. The first day ended with laughter, celebrations, and excitement at the Mylanchi ceremony, which took place at the Pembroke Falls Rec Center with all their friends and family who had come all the way from India to celebrate their special day with them.
